Fifth Grade trip to Town Hall

The 5th graders went on a trip to the Woodbridge Municipal Complex after learning about government in their Social Studies class. We had a tour of the police department and learned many of the important jobs that the officers handle on a day to day basis. We also met with Mayor McCormac and found out what the job of being mayor entailes. Lastly, we visited a live court session and learned how the judge handles violations that happen in our town. It was a great learning experience for the students!

Celebrating the Easter Season

In the spirit of the Easter season I would like to share some pictures of our Passion Play. The students worked very hard and really understood the meaning of Holy Week through as they san and reenacted the events of Holy Week. Have a blessed Easter season!

Celebrating Black History Month

During the month of February we celebrate Black History month. The students in 5th grade each chose 2 important people that have made great accomplishments in their lives. They did research on the 2 people and then they completed a poster for each person. When we finished our posters each student presented what they learned to the class. Take a look at their great work!

Catolic Schools Week Celebration

Last week we celebrated National Catholic Schools Week! It is a time to appreciate all that our Catholic school offers. There were many fun activities that took place. 5th Grade Volume Zoo

  The 5th grade students learned how to calculate volume with this fun STREAM project. They had to design an animal made out of boxes. After they wrapped the boxes, they decorated and added details to their animals. Then they calculated the volume of each box after measuring and found the total volume of their animal. Check out the finished projects!

Our Christmas Nativity

  The fifth grade students, along with our entire student body put on a beautiful performance of the Christmas Nativity. The children performed in the bell choir, sang beautiful Christmas carols and reinacted the story of the first Christmas. What a wonderful way to celebrate the true meaning of Christmas!
